Goat Track Theatre School Workshops
Goat Track Theatre workshops are in high demand throughout Queensland and are fast gaining national recognition. We have extensive knowledge in verbatim theatre, community cultural development, writing and directing and we are leaders in the creation of new and innovative youth theatre practices.
We can come to your school and tailor a workshop to your specific work program needs. These workshops will be a break from the student’s everyday curriculum and also provide the teachers with a tool kit of new teaching strategies.
Goat Track Theatre is committed to sharing the very best practice in drama education with schools. The workshops are facilitated by teacher artists with extensive experience in the classroom at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, in both the private and public sectors as well as being industry professionals in theatre. We have designed programs for ESL students, Special Needs Students and Gifted and Talented programs. Having qualified, registered educators on staff means we are well aware of the unique requirements of your teachers and students in these contexts.
We love working with primary and high school teachers and sharing our knowledge.
Our workshops for students have been carried out in more than 30 schools across the state and we’d love to work with yours.

School PartnershipsGoat Track Theatre offers a new innovative professional program every year to engage the community and to develop new works with young people. Part of our mission is to work with as many young people to activate change in the world. We have several schools throughout Queensland who are our Partners and this allows us to work with young people on one of our many projects in the program in schools as part of their curriculum.
What does a Partnership provide to the school?
Extra value for your staff and students and the opportunity to work on national projects that other students across the state will not be working on. Goat Track Theatre will work with not only your students but also your staff and provide valuable support, professional development and artistic guidance. Some of our partnering schools have this opportunity for a full year – image having that amount of extra value and to be involved in a national project for a full year!
There are limited spaces available for School Partnerships and an application is required.
