About

The benefits of your child taking part in this 12-month program are huge!

Our world is fast changing to be a digital world and video is one of the most powerful skills you can have. There are plenty of training courses and programs out there but when it comes to working with children and young people, it’s best to leave it in the hands of the professionals who actually have the qualifications and training to work specifically with young people. Goat Track Theatre are experts when it comes to working with children and young people and have all the industry requirements to work safely with them.

Our ACTING FOR FILM program is divided into two programs: Ages 9-13 & Ages 14-18 for the first year program. Our first year program is a compulsory 12 month long program which is an industry preparedness program that will have you graduating with a comprehensive SHOW REEL ready to give to agents.

After completing the first year program students have the option to continue with another 2nd year program which is specifically geared towards film genre training and finally, they can complete their training with a 3rd year program where the students are involved in making short films. This is arguably one of the most comprehensive acting for film programs available for children & young people.

When signing up to our program you must commit to a year at a time but we do have two payment options available: annual upfront option (with $300+ value for FREE) OR quarterly upfront instalments.

The best way to know if this program and the teachers are the best fit for you is to come along to our next STUDIO EXPERIENCE. This is a 3 hour experience and by the end you will definitely know if this is the program for you. Book in today - this program fills in almost 48 hours so you don’t want to miss out.

I've learnt that there's acting for film, acting for theatre, and acting for an audition.

It’s been 14 years since I started acting at Goat Track and never thought I would be that into acting and all of a sudden, here we are! And you know what? Acting is the only thing I really want to do! I’m really looking forward to using everything they’ve prepared me for. I can’t wait to step into the industry and go somewhere!

If you have any fears about joining the film course, I would just say definitely go for it! It’s completely a judgement free zone, there’s really nothing to be scared of! I know for a lot of people its helped overcome their fears, so really there’s no reason not to!
— Luka (Student)
I used to be really shy. I wouldn’t really talk to anyone. I used to hide under my table to not do my work, but being here really helped me to go onto the camera and just perform! It brings out my confidence, I love it here.
— Sebastien (Student)
I learnt so many things about what film is and how to be good at acting. It was really fun. My favourite part of the learning experience was challenging myself to do more things than I ever thought I could.
