Andrew wright

CEO & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Andrew is the Driver of the Goat Track Bus, so hop aboard and hold onto your hats!!! Andrew has been an inspirational teacher of children and young people through drama/theatre for more than 25 years across primary, secondary and tertiary settings. He is a published playwright, award winning director and tireless community arts worker. He has also worked as an actor, producer, dramaturge, facilitator and professional speaker. He has aspirations to start his own Boy Band before he loses his hair and is kept up late at night by the thought that he may have "missed the boat." Andrew believes in the power of theatre to change the world.

Theatre is a discipline. Like any discipline, we think we are learning about the discipline but in actual fact we end up learning more about ourselves along the way. This is how theatre can change the world. Not whole audiences at a time but one person at a time." Andrew is inspired by people who have the courage to make mistakes in order to locate and then surpass their limitations. When he is by himself he likes to run to "Eye of The Tiger," sing 80's power ballads and dance to Salt and Pepper's "Push It!" He has a truly disturbing playlist

LOUISE BAHNSON

GENERAL MANAGER & HEAD TEACHER ARTIST

Louise is Goat Track Theatre’s very own, Wonder Woman! Besides being the co-founder of this dynamic company, she also brings a great deal of educational and business expertise to the team with more than 20 years in drama classrooms throughout QLD and a number of business awards under her Wonder Belt. She is an award-winning director of theatre for young people and has been working on Goat Track Theatre shows as a designer, actor, producer, costume designer and educational liaison since 2009.

Her borderline Obsessive Compulsive Disorder [let's face it, she crossed the border years ago...] is put to great use as our General Manager. Louise believes that “art is the key to personal transformation and that theatre provides us with an amazing array of tools to unpack and better understand the world and most importantly ourselves.” When “Bahnsey” isn’t busy Tracking Goats, she keeps busy practicing to be the next Gardening Australia presenter, cooking sourdough bread, knitting dish clothes, and home renovating to the sounds of Joni Mitchell, John Butler and Cat Stevens. (Yes, we know. She really is a dirty hippy!)

TAMARA ATHIQUE

ENROLMENT OFFICER

From double-deckers to 'down under' and beyond! A true global citizen, Tamara has lived in the UK, the Middle East, New Zealand and New South Wales, before making beautiful Tamborine Mountain the place she now calls home.

A lover of nature and tranquility, in her spare time Tamara will be found communing with her plants, meditating to the sound of a waterfall, dipping her toes in the ocean or 'daggy dancing' in her living room. She loves the energy and magic of live performance and is always keen to immerse herself in a good story.

Ever friendly and helpful, Tamara is delighted to be part of the Team and assist with all of your enrolment enquiries. She has watched her own daughter flourish here at Goat Track many years ago and she knows firsthand what a difference theatre can make in a child's life. Her mission now is to help others to offer their children the same opportunity to thrive.

Heiki’s journey with Goat Track Theatre extends far beyond the office. She has not only won Queensland Academy's Artist Excellence Award, but has performed in countless shows with Goat Track Theatre for over 12 years, and even graced the stage at the Woodford Folk Festival twice. Born to perform, Heiki brings her vibrant energy and sense of fun to every aspect of her role.

When she’s not managing accounts, studying, or lighting up the stage, you’ll find Heiki at the gym lifting heavy weights to the beat of Rufus du Sol. Her dynamic spirit and dedication make her an indispensable part of the Goat Track Theatre team.

CHRISTIE ECKERSLEY

FAST TRACK DIRECTOR, & FILM TEACHER ARTIST

You’ll hear Christie before you see her as her, big energy and even bigger voice proceeding her. Having trained as an opera singer and actor Christie has performed all over the world before hitting the streets of Goat Track Theatre. Christie found her home in the Goat Track Youth division in 2023 coaching and directing young film and stage actors across the Acting for Film and Fast Track Programs and writing and directing 5 of Goat Tracks 2025 Productions - with more to come! She is an Director, Actor, Opera and Musical Theatre singer and production manager who has been running and coordinating various programs, events and productions for 9 years and has taught voice and drama students for 7 years. Not only has she acted and sung on stages in Australia, Italy, Switzerland and Germany she has written, produced, stage managed and directed operas, musicals, plays.  You may recognize her voice on radios or in the background on the TV as a voice over artist, or not, she’s sneaky like that. When she’s not at Goat Track you will probably still find her singing, acting or making her own sound effects, with or without an audience, it can’t be helped. If your young person is ready to live, laugh, love and learn to be their best selves Christie can’t wait to bring them into a rollercoaster of fun amongst the Goat Track Family.

IMOGEN WRIGHT

TEACHER ARTIST

Meet Imogen, the dynamo of all things performance! From the tender age of four, Imogen was already stealing the spotlight and wowing audiences with her mesmerising talents. Dance, drama, and singing became her life's rhythm, and she danced her way into hearts across the globe. From the Australian Ballet to dancing at the Sydney Opera House, the stage was her canvas, and she painted masterpieces with her every move.

But the magic didn't stop there! Imogen and her theatre troupe were no strangers to victory, as they rocked the Sydney Theatre Festival Fast and Fresh, clinching the top spot and even earning an encore performance at the adult-oriented Short and Sweet festival, where they once again triumphed.

Insert plot twist, Imogen pirouetted her way to a Certificate IV and Advanced Diploma in Elite Performance in Classical Ballet at the prestigious National College of Dance. At 17, the city lights of New York beckoned, and after a dazzling audition, she pirouetted her way into the Joffrey Ballet School.

Imogen then rekindled her passion for acting and moved to University of Wollongong to study Performance. Beneath that spotlight-hungry exterior lies a heart of gold. Imogen is the embodiment of effervescence, a bundle of energy that radiates warmth and friendliness. With a heart that beats for teaching, she's a natural with kids and a true source of inspiration.

IMOGEN JOPPICH

TEACHER ARTIST

As an only child, Imo was creating and living in imaginary worlds from a young age! However, Imo knows first hand it can be quite scary to take that imagination and perform it in front of someone else. It was only through becoming involved in Speech and Drama lessons that Imo's confidence to express themselves flourished! Not looking back they achieved their Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama teaching in 2018 and have been teaching drama ever since.

Imo's greatest passion is helping other young people find their own confidence and joy through drama, whilst stretching those who want to start their career. They are ecstatic to be able to bring the Goat Track Programs to kids all across the Sunshine Coast!

While they've always done drama, Imo also has a past life as a cowboy and worked professionally with horses! They can still be found on days off playing with their horse Daisy or in the garden on the property.

Meet Ziah Harvey, a passionate and driven Teacher Artist at Goat Track Theatre. Teaching has always been one of Ziah's soul goals, a passion she discovered at just 14, when she began developing her natural leadership qualities by mentoring younger students. Over the past six years, Ziah has taught at many performing arts schools and guided students through her own teaching initiatives, embracing the opportunity to nurture and inspire students of diverse backgrounds, from ages 4 to 18.

Ziah is also a versatile performer with a talent for singing, songwriting, dancing, and acting, captivating audiences across all genres. Her stage experience includes standout roles like the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz (2020) and Rizzo in Grease (2021), as well as her professional debut in Priscilla Queen of the Desert (2021), where she made a lasting impact.

With her passion, experience, and commitment to growth, Ziah is set to be a valuable team member at Goat Track Theatre, contributing both as an artist and educator.

monique rabie

TEACHER ARTIST

South Africa, New Zealand, Australia. You name it, she’s probably lived there. Monique has a passion for arts and culture and loves learning about the culture of the place she is currently living in. Monique also has a secret super power! She is bilingual speaking both English and Afrikaans.

Monique started out as a Ballerina from the young age of 3 and slowly started focusing more and more on Theatre. She still attends Ballet classes regularly just for the pure joy of it but her bread and butter is Theatre. She eventually found herself at a Drama School in Auckland where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing for Stage and Screen, before jetting off to Australia where she found the wonderful land of Goat Track Theatre!

She started her Teaching journey as a Learn to Swim Instructor (a very random job, but ultimately it lead to a new-found love of inspiring kids and helping them grow their minds and skills).

When Monique is not busy inspiring young minds at Goat Track Theatre, you may find her listening to French music whilst eating cheese by the kilogram. Perhaps you may find her playing video games, or even reading a heart-wrenching novel on her Kindle.
