Fast Track is one of Australia’s largest and most highly respected youth theatre ensembles.
We prepare young people for the industry by providing them with the skills they most want – performance skills. And not just performance skills in one finite area of expertise, at Fast Track we offer a range of acting skills across a range of theatre genres.
The program is typically divided up into two semester long projects where we focus on a specific genre and all the techniques and skills required. Ensemble members are not only involved in performance but in the writing, directing, design and production elements of the creation process, resulting in a more well-rounded understanding and experience of the theatre making process.
Fast Track is ideal for young performers and theatre artists who want to have the experience of not just learning about theatre but of performing in a full-time theatre ensemble. That’s rare. We believe you can only truly learn about acting through its application to a performance context.
We come to learn about the theatre but we end up learning about ourselves.
